ATEN 16-Port KVM Switches come in a 1U-high housing for convenient rack mounting. They provide KVM ports for connecting 16 devices – allowing administrators to control multiple computers from one or two KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) consoles. All 16-Port switch installations can easily be expanded through cascading or daisy chaining to provide access and control of up to hundreds or even thousands of computers.
For flexible and economical server room administration, ATEN 16-Port KVM Switches employ specially designed Custom KVM Cables and KVM Adapter Cables. Use of these specialized cables allows ATEN's 16-Port switches to support multiplatform installations. PCs Macs, Sun systems, as well as Serial connectivity, can all be integrated in a single installation Other convenient features that help network administrators to easily manage their server rooms include three port selection methods (manual, OSD, and hotkey) – giving them instant access to any computer on the installation; and a powerful Auto Scan function that permits automatic one-at-a-time scanning and monitoring of the activities of all computers running on the installation at user-specified intervals.

The CS1716A PS/2 16 port KVM switch is a control unit that allows access to multiple computers from a single PS/2 or USB console (keyboard, mouse, and monitor). A single CS1716A can control up to 16 computers. As many as 31 additional switches can be daisy-chained to each other, so that up to 512 computers can all be controlled from a single keyboard-monitor-mouse console.
